FRUITY FRIDAY : DELIMA AKA POMEGRANATE

A view from our southern balcony...

This was our Delima or pomegranate bush.
A bit messy, but something that made us happy.

Three big fruits were hanging on the slim branches.
I thought they have already ripe.

Several weeks ago some unripe fruits have fallen onto the ground.
It might caused by extreme weather several weeks ago.
Lots of heavy rains then very dry days for several days later.

Then I picked all the fruits.
Look... they were fairly big.

But all fruits were cracked.
This one was the most cracked...
The cracked area was dry and blackish.

But when we opened and removed the dried part, we found the fresh fleshy seeds.

Look... my little one really enjoy the reddish flesh.
Sweet and slightly sour taste and of course... juicy...
Thanks GOD...

MESSY BACKYARD

Tidying up the raised bed is something really annoying.
Needs lots of time...

Look... two of our raised beds were so messy.

Weed grew like crazy, and beat the main crop.

The climber was finally be a creeper.
The tomato plant were also be a creeper.
Creeping here and there...

Yes, they crept on the ground, wildly...
Beans, tomatoes, bitter gourd... all be creeper.

The creeper took over the raised bed.

Some brassicas that I have grown here, finally lose and eventually died.

There were only three Broccoli remains.
After two of tidying days, we can find new look of our raised bed.
Now, the creepers were became climbers.
A bit tidy than before.
I hope they will grow better and healthier here.

THE RED OKRA THIS WEEK

This is our tiny patch of our red okra.

There are four plants on the raised bed.

These plants are came from self seedlings that grow on the bed freely.

We have picked some fruits for several times.
The okra then chopped and we made herbal drink from these chopped okras.

The flower is also so beautiful...

BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY WITH MORNING GLORY

Such a beautiful day...

Although this was a cloudy Sunday, but we had beautiful scene in our roof garden.

Three morning glories were blooming.

I think these were 'Grey Haze', but I'm not sure caused by we lost the name tag.

I found some pods have formed from the withered flowers.

I hope they will produce fertile seeds for the next season.
Enjoying the beautiful flowers.

Thanks GOD...
